Technical Assistance for Programs by Programs (TAPP) is NSP’s national gathering for middle managers and program leaders. TAPP creates a space where those working between frontline staff and executive leadership can connect, problem-solve, and strengthen program responses for youth and families.
About TAPP
TAPP brings together middle managers and program leaders from across the country to focus on real program needs and shared challenges. Originally launched in 1977, TAPP recognizes the critical role of middle managers in ensuring accountability, implementing change, and supporting quality services for youth.
Middle managers serve as the bridge between frontline staff and executive leadership. They translate vision into practice, carry out policy and program expectations, and support teams through daily realities. TAPP honors that role by offering time and space to connect, reflect, and strengthen the skills needed to lead effectively from the middle.
TAPP gatherings are planned collaboratively by NSP staff and current program managers or supervisors, ensuring the content is grounded in the real experiences of the field.
