Even if Safe Place is not in your community, there are other people who can help:
- Friends or relatives
- Teachers or guidance counselors
- A minister, rabbi or priest
- Your parents
- A local youth shelter
- A community crisis hotline
If you are in a city without a Safe Place Program, you can receive help by contacting the National Runaway Switchboard (NRS). This is a national toll-free hotline for runaway, homeless and other youth in crisis. You can call NRS anytime at 1-800-RUNAWAY. |
