Above are the slides from the first of National Safe Place's training series on social media. Presented by David Finch, Social Media Manager for Doe-Anderson in Louisville, Ky. David gives an introduction to the social media tools available to help your agency connect with supporters and reach young people.
David finishes his presentation with a call to participate in these communities if you haven t already. Our second training session on the topic "Participating in Online Conversations," set for June 4, will provide tips and tricks on how to first listen and then effectively participate.

Safety Net for Youth seeks to further communication among advocates for at-risk youth. Focused on the youth service field - especially professionals working with runaway and homeless youth - Safety Net for Youth is an online collaboration of youth care workers, youth shelter executives, training and technical assistance providers, and national partners, led by National Safe Place. Safety Net for Youth provides an open forum to build community, share information, and educate the public about the issues facing America's youth in need.
